The Yamuna river in New Delhi is a tributary of the Ganga. Often, it is in the news for running dry, causing floods, or being a repository of water pollution. However, despite the tribulations, the river continues to sustain an ecosystem of life and doom around it. These are photos from March 2020, days before the pandemic struck. It's a look at what went on at the river site - from religious practices, to women tending to women, and the boat rowers lingering on with the migratory birds.
