Muskan Nagpal (she/her) is a writer and audio producer based in New York City. Currently, she is an Associate Producer at Magnificent Noise, for the podcast Becoming You with Suzy Welch.
Muskan completed her MFA in Literary Reportage from New York University, focusing on long-form writing and narrative audio.
Previously, she spearheaded the communications campaign at Karachi Kabab Boiz, a New York-based food startup, increasing its social media following by 60%. She worked specifically on improving their visibility in the media and handled outreach to publications like Eater.
Before this, Muskan worked as a Researcher with Wait, What Productions and at Prologue Projects for the co-creators of the podcast Slow Burn. She also worked as an intern on The Brian Lehrer Show at WNYC. Prior to this, she assisted Gregory Warner, host of Rough Translation.
She started her career in India as an intern at The Partition Museum, where she recorded oral history narratives. Later, she worked at Platform Magazine - India's leading arts & culture magazine. Her more serious journalistic endeavours began at The Wire.in and The Mojo Story - leading new-age digital newsrooms based in India. She reported on cities, protests, crime, economy, gender and the environment.
Originally from a small town in India, Muskan studied literature at Hans Raj College, University of Delhi where she was the President of the Creative Writing Society. She also co-founded the college's literary magazine The Medley.
